MAIN POOL AT SIX SENSES LAAMU, MALDIVES

Four Seasons Resort at Landaa Giraavaru, Maldives (2019)

Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru is located in Baa Atoll, a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve in the Maldives. One of the world's most beautiful island and captivating destination.

2024 Vogue France's the Most Beautiful Hotels in the Maldives list.

On 2019, a major upgrading / renovation works were done to the existing 40 Water Villas and Water Suites.

The Architectural Design concept is to open up the existing building envelope and expand the guest living space for a memorable commune with the wonderful lagoon beyond.

Overall Scope of Works:

New Sun Deck Extensions and Timber Daybed Pavilions.
New Swimming Pools & Covered Outdoor Living & Dining Area Extension.
New Additional Bedroom for the Existing One Bedroom Suite to convert it into a 2 Bedroom Suite.
New Additional Bedroom for the Existing Two Bedroom Suite to convert it into a 3 Bedroom Suite.
Overall Architectural look refresh.

Four Seasons Kuda Huraa is located in North Male Atoll in the Maldives.

on 2016, a major upgrading / renovation works were done to the existing 38 Water Villas and Water Suites.

The Key Architectural Design concept for the Water Villas is to create a Dive from your bedroom straight into the Infinity Pool experience. For the Water Suites, the design insight is to create an expanse of deck and swimming pool space, setting a memorable experience where you can soak in the sunrise & sunset above and at the water's edge.

Overall Scope of Works:

New Sun Deck Extensions and Timber Daybed Pavilions.
Daybed Alcove Extension to achieve the Dive from Bedroom into the Infinity Pool concept.
New Swimming Pools & Covered Outdoor Living & Dining Area Extension.
New Additional Bedroom for the Existing One Bedroom Suite to convert it into a Family Villa.
New Additional Bedroom for the Existing One Bedroom Suite to convert it into a 2 Bedroom Suite.
New Additional Bedroom for the Existing Two Bedroom Suite to convert it into a 3 Bedroom Suite.

Four Seasons Resort at KUDA HURAA, Maldives (2019)

Four Seasons Kuda Huraa is located in North Male Atoll in the Maldives.

on 2019, a major upgrading / renovation works were done to the existing 25 Beach Pavilions.

The pre-renovation state of the Villa is falling behind the competition in terms of size, the bedroom is dark, and outdoor experience (pool and sun deck) needs improvement. The Design approach for the renovation works is to make the Villa have more space, light, and bright. Also, to create a sanctuary with a bigger pool and improved sun deck.

Overall Scope of Works:

New Bedroom Entrance Portal as an Extension of the Bedroom to make it bigger and allow for a New Living Area Space. the Portal also allows for new Large Sliding doors to allow more light and make the Bedroom Bright.
Swimming Pool and Sun Deck Extension Works.
New Additional Bedroom for the Existing One Bedroom to convert it into a Family Villa.
Overall Architectural look refresh.

six senses laamu, Maldives (2014, 2022, & 2023)

located in the Southern Maldives, Six Senses Laamu is where barefoot serenity, luxury, vernacular, sustainability, and whimsical embody the Resort.

The Design Approach overall is reuse of spare / recycled materials to achieve the Six Senses Laamu's drive for Sustainability. timber work details are paramount on achieving the desired Architecture context.

2014: a major upgrading / renovation and new works were done to the existing 12 Water Villas, all Beach Villas, New Main Swimming Pool, New Pool Side Restaurant, New Kids Club, and 2 Bedroom Beach Villa.

SIX SENSES KANUHURa, Maldives (2023)

Home of one of the best and iconic beaches in the Maldives with 02 private picnic islands. Kanuhura is located in North East of Maldives.

included in 2024 Vogue France's the Most Beautiful Hotels in the Maldives list.

On 2021 to 2023, a major upgrading / renovation works were done island wide as part of Rebranding to Six Senses Resort Brand.

FVW Design Studio was engaged for the Architecture Upgrading components for All Existing Beach, Existing Water Villas, Conversion of 01 Water Suite into a 02 Bedroom Water Suite, and Existing Front of House Buildings.

Overall Scope of Works:

Beach & Water Villas New Sun Deck Extensions and Timber Daybed Pavilions.
Beach & Water Villas New Swimming Pools.
Beach Suites New Sun Deck Extensions and Living Dining Pavilions.
New Additional Bedroom for the Existing One Bedroom Suite to convert it into a 2 Bedroom Suite with New Sun Deck Extensions, New Long Lap Pool, and Expansive Living Dining Pavilion.
Architectural enhancements for the Existing Front Of House Buildings.
New Pool Deck and Enhancements to Existing Main Swimming Pool.

GILI LANKANFUSHI, Maldives (2019 & 2015)

One of the Iconic and Popular First Eco Class Resort in the Maldives located near Male International Airport.

Named by TripAdvisor the Best Hotel in the World for 2015.

It is also getting consistent The Traveller's Choice Awards, and Best Resort in the Maldives by TripAdvisor.

Set in the middle of its own Lagoon, The resort offers one of the best lagoons and beaches in the Maldives. It offers a total of 45 Water Villas including the expansive and secluded Private Reserve (biggest Water Villa in the Maldives).

On early 2019, there was a fire incident in the resort resulting to a loss of 7 Water Villas and the Main Restaurant.

FVW Design Studio was engaged for the Architecture Upgrading components for the New Main Restaurant, New Main Kitchen, Interior Design Enhancement of the Existing Wince Cellar, and Upgrading Works to some of the Water Villas, Water Residences, and Private Reserve Water Suite.

on 2015, FVW Design Studio was engaged for the Interior Design Upgrade to its Japanese Restaurant.

The Overall Design Theme and Approach is to be in line and respect the Vernacular language of the Buildings. Gili is an Eco Resort with Sustainability as its Core.
